Launching an Education Center and Closed Developer Club

What's Happening

After 20 years in development, I've decided to launch something I've been thinking about for a long time — an education center and closed club for developers and tech leads.

This isn't another course with certificates and stars. It's a live community of practitioners where we:

  • Review real problems — architecture, code, career questions
  • Run regular calls — group case reviews twice a month
  • Meet offline — monthly meetups/parties in Moscow
  • Share experience — referrals, job openings, private chat
  • Grow together — mini-reviews from members and mentoring from me

Currently building the core team — first members who will help shape the club's culture and atmosphere. For them, participation in the first year is free.

Who This Is For

Middle → Senior

You're already writing code but want to level up your architecture skills, learn to make technical decisions, and grow toward tech lead or architect.

What you'll get:

  • Reviews of real problems from your practice
  • Mentoring on architecture and system design
  • Development of communication and technical leadership skills

Senior / Tech Lead

You have experience but need an environment to exchange knowledge, discuss complex cases, and find solutions for bottlenecks.

What you'll get:

  • Calls about solution design and scaling
  • Discussions about hiring and team management
  • Experience exchange with other leads

Founders and CTOs

You're building a product and need support on technical questions: stack choice, quality control, working with contractors, interviews.

What you'll get:

  • Technical reviews and consultations
  • Help choosing architecture and stack
  • Support in hiring and team management

Club Format

Online

  • Group calls — twice a month, case reviews, live discussions
  • Private chat — async communication, questions, experience sharing
  • Mini-reviews — from members and from me

Offline (Moscow)

  • Monthly meetup/party — networking, communication, experience sharing
  • Live reviews — bring your own case or problem

Additional

  • Referral and job opening exchange — helping each other with careers
  • Access to educational materials — practical guides, tools
  • Limited spots — to maintain engagement and quality communication

1:1 Mentoring

For those who need individual support, I offer personal mentoring:

  • 60-minute call every week + async support in messenger
  • Review of your tasks and code — from bugs to architecture
  • Development plan with milestones
  • Limited slots — to maintain 1:1 focus

First month — $15 (to get acquainted and understand the tasks). Then — $70/month. Can stop anytime.

Monthly payment. Refund available first week if it doesn't work out.

What's Required to Participate

Free Core Team Recruitment

Right now I'm recruiting the first 15–20 members who will help create the community core. For them, the first year is free.

Criteria:

  • Development experience from 2–3 years (Middle and above)
  • Desire to grow and share experience
  • Willingness to participate in calls and discussions
  • Engagement in the process

What to do:

  1. Email me at constantin@potapov.me or on Telegram @potapov_me

  2. Tell me about yourself:

    • Experience and current role
    • What you're working on now
    • What you want to achieve in a year
    • Why you want to join the club
  3. Wait for response — I personally approve each member to build an awesome community

After First Month

After the free first month, participation costs:

  • Closed club: $18/month (free for you for a whole year)
  • 1:1 Mentoring: $70/month (includes club access)

Why Now

I've been thinking about launching such a project for a long time. Postponed it, waited for the "perfect moment". But realized — the perfect moment won't come.

Over 20 years I've:

  • Built and launched 100+ projects
  • Worked as tech lead, architect, CTO
  • Launched several of my own products
  • Helped dozens of developers grow

Now I want to scale this experience — create a community where we'll grow together.

This is an experiment. I don't know how it will turn out. But I'm ready to invest time and effort to build something worthwhile.

What's Next

If this resonates with you — write to me. I'll tell you more details, answer questions.

If you have doubts — also write. We'll discuss if this format suits you.

If you want to wait — okay. But remember: first year free only for core team. Later it will be paid.
